Postpartum Doula

Bringing home your newborn is such a special time, but also entails a great transition period in integrating this new little family member into your lives. Many challenges arise when trying to juggle it all, and we’re not meant to do it alone – it takes a village.

My support as a postpartum doula during this time helps to alleviate some of the responsibilities and tasks needing to be completed. And my goal is to help you gain confidence in getting through this transformation to your lives.

Our time together begins at any point in time after the birth of your child. I will remain with you up until the 1st year of your child’s life, but really whenever it feels right to you to conclude. I have two different Postpartum Doula Service options:

About Me

Who is Karly?

I have an insatiable hunger for knowledge, and an adventurous soul that craves novelty & challenge. I’ve traveled all over the world alone, from riding camels at the pyramids of Giza to trekking the Himalayas to Mount Everest. I am a child of the mountains, having grown up in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico – I love hiking and forest bathing. I’m a mother to a vibrant 1-year-old boy, and expecting Baby #2.

I have a Master of Science in Psychology, and a partially completed Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’ve been an entrepreneur and business owner for 9 years as a freelance traveling model, and then in 2021 I began offering Life Coaching services with a focus on resilience and connection, as I come from a trauma-informed background.

I hold certificates in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga, and am a certified Tantric Embodiment Facilitator. I hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. In addition to my career choice in Doula work, I am pursuing an education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography to become an Ultrasound Technologist.

“Birthing is our sacred right, and parenting is both our gift and contribution.”

-Karly Salinas

Passion & Pursuit

I am currently expecting my second child as well. My first birth held the greatest challenges I’ve ever faced in life. But it was incredible, and the way my birth team and doula surrounded me with support inspired me further in my own work as a doula. Throughout my fertility journey in conceiving and birthing my son, I uncovered a deep passion for all things surrounding pregnancy, birth, and babies. This led me to pursue a dynamic career that reflects my deep desire to support and inform others throughout their journey of bringing a child into the world.
